How much does it cost to make a throw or cushions from a fur coat?
Each fur throw cost will vary depending on the type of fur, the original construction of the piece and what condition the fur is in. The more repairs that need done the higher the cost. Generally fur throws start from £800 and cushions are approx £120 per cushion.
How long will it take to finish a fur throw or a set of cushions?
Much like an old house that you are trying to renovate, often problems arise as you are working on a vintage fur jacket, that were perhaps not visible at first! I aim to have my projects completed within a 6 month time period. The throws are really a work of art and art not to be rushed.
I’m not able to visit your studio, can I post my fur to you?
Yes, you can post your fur to me for me to assess and we can chat via zoom/over the phone about your commission.
Do you clean fur coats?
I am currently not taking on any cleaning only jobs as my 2026 waiting list for remodelling work is so large. I can recommend another furrier for cleaning, please email me on hello@milliescottstudio.co.uk.
Do you buy fur coats?
Yes, I do sometimes buy vintage fur coats but I have very specific requirements for purchasing. I am only really interested in buying fox or mink fur, but I will take a look at other furs if they are in immaculate condition. Furs have to be in impeccable condition for me to rework. If you are unsure what type of fur you have, you can send me a photos via email. Do you repair fur coats? How much will it cost?
Yes, I repair fur coats and accessories. I cannot give a price without seeing the fur in question so you will need to bring your fur in to me or post it to me. At the minute I am no longer taking on repair jobs as my 2026 waiting list is so large. I can recommend another furrier to you though so please email me on hello@milliescottstudio.co.uk.
